KouHin at the Old hospital where
he had spent almost half a year.
Just when I was about to get there,
Li Han told me that KouHin moved
to the Adult Enclosure late last night!
So I decided to go to see KouHin
at the Adult Area.
KouHin is staying inside today
to get used to his inside enclosure.
As I arrived and called his name
in Japanese, he looked up at me.
今朝、幸浜に会いに半年間暮らしている
旧病院棟に向かう途中、飼育員の
Li Hanに会いました。
すると、「幸浜なら昨夜遅くに
成年パンダエリアに移ったよ！」と
言うではありませんか。
早速幸浜に会いに成年パンダエリアに
向かいました。昨夜遅くに移動した
ばかりで、今日一日は慣れるために
室内で過ごしていました。日本語で
「幸ちゃーん」、と呼びかけると、
すぐに見上げてくれました。
こういうところも幸浜は可愛いんです。
I have no idea what happened to him
but he was so dirty. He was a
black and brown bear.
He must have struggled a lot last night
when he was moving to his new enclosure...
昨夜移動する時に何が起きたのか
全くわからないのですが、どうやら
大暴れしたようで真っ黒に汚れていました。
こんなに汚れた幸浜は見たことが
ありません。白黒パンダというより、
黒茶クマという感じでした。
Spending six months at the Old Hospital
must have been very stressful for KouHin.
He had some white fur on his right ear
that I did not see last year when he was
in No. 14.
狭い旧病院棟での半年の生活は
幸浜にとって余程辛かったのか、
右耳の先っぽに白髪が生えていました。
昨年３ヶ月間飼育している時には
なかった白髪です。苦労したんですね。
He began to eat his bamboo.
それでも、元気に笹を食べていました。
He had a good appetite as usual.
いつも通り、食欲は旺盛なようです。
He drank some water.
水も飲んでみます。
"Oh noooo, where am I?
I don't know this place well. "
「ねーねー、ここどこ？
知らないところに入れられているんだけど」
今まであまり知りませんでしたが、
結構縄張り意識が強いみたいです。
秋浜が検疫所に移動した時は
すぐに新しい環境に慣れて
のんびりしていましたが、幸浜は
落ち着かない様子です。
He smelled the wall to see if he was safe.
壁の匂いを嗅いだり、うろうろしながら
身の安全を確認中の幸浜。
KouHin wanted to go outside today.
But we had to keep him inside to
see if he is OK with the new enclosure.
幸浜はどうやら外に遊びに
行きたかったようです。
今日は一日室内で様子を見なければ
ならないため、出してあげることが
出来ないんです。
"Can I go outside to play? Please?"
「外に遊びに行っても良い？」
He tried to escape from his enclosure.
Just like "prison break".
「今日は外に行けないんだよ」と言うと、
プリズンブレイクのように脱走しようとします。
幸浜は、他のパンダ達に比べると
喜怒哀楽がはっきりしていて、
意思の疎通も比較的スムーズに出来ます。
行動を見ていると、何がしたいのか良く
わかるんです。
"I need to see my outside den!"
「外が見たいの！！」
KouHin walked around for a long time to see if
there is any way he could go outside, but in the end
he had to give up.
しばらくは落ち着かない様子で匂いを嗅いだり
歩き回っていましたが、ついに諦めてくれました。
"Hey Yumi, I'm doing my cute face,
does this change your mind??"
「こんなに可愛い顔しても今日は駄目なの？」
Tomorrow morning I will take care
of KouHin, and see his first day in his
outside den.
By the way, KouHin's elder brother
YuHin (XiongBang) lives next doors
which gives me lots of reasons to
visit the Adult area more often!
明日の朝、幸浜の飼育をします。
久しぶりの広い室外運動場でどんな行動を
とるかしっかり見て来ようと思います。
幸浜のお兄ちゃん雄浜もすぐ隣に住んでいます。
これからは成年パンダエリアに
頻繁に行くことになりそうです。
