to take care of the 2010 born cubs.
今朝は2010年生まれの子パンダ達の飼育をしてきました。
When I arrived, ErXi was high up in the tree
as usual, but he came rushing down to say Hi.
"HELLLOOO, you really like me, don't you?"
パンダ幼稚園に到着した時、
あーちゃんはいつものように木に登って
上から私を見下ろしていました。
でも最近は急いで降りてきてくれるんです。
「僕のこと、かなり好きみたいだね」とでも
言っているんだと思います。行くたびに
あーちゃんあーちゃん言う変な人だと
思っているのかもしれません。
He lies down on my boots.
私のブーツの上で寝そべっています。
He bites me as usual.
This time, not on my boots, but on my leg.
いつもなら私のブーツをかじりに来るのですが、
今朝は私の足を噛み始めました。
ErXi looks up to see if he is doing the right thing.
"Am I allowed to bite you?"
時々見上げて自分のやっていることが正しいのか
どうか確認してきます。
「かじってもいいの？」
I told him very softly that he cannot bite me,
but he took it that he is allowed to. He bites
softly so that I won't be hurt.
優しく「足は噛んじゃだめだよ」と言ったのが
通じなかったらしく、静かに足を噛んでいます。
痛くないように力加減をしてくれる
優しいあーちゃん。
He then leans on my legs. It must have been
quite confortable, to see that he stayed there
for a while, watching my reaction.
しばらく私の足に寄りかかって休憩を
していました。このポジション、結構
快適だったみたいです。
He pretended that he's going to leave me.
しばらくすると、私を置いて木に登るような仕草をします。
But realized that he was thursty.
I see him drink water from this pond
everytime I go to see him.
でも、喉が渇いていたことを思い出したのか、
池の水を飲みに行きました。
パンダが水を飲む時は、犬と違って
吸うように飲むんです。非常に静かです。
He goes in the bush to take some bite of the leaves.
繁みに入って木の葉っぱをかじったりしています。
He sometimes looks up with his cute face.
Awww he is adorable!!!
時々見上げて可愛い顔をしてくれます。
本当に可愛いんです！！！
I called his name in Japanese
(and I've been doing this a few times
to see if he can understand me),
and he sees me in my eyes.
日本語で「あーちゃん」と呼びかけると、
最近はちゃんと反応してくれるように
なりました。一生懸命私を見て
何を言っているのか理解しようとさえ
してくれます。
And then he rests for a while.
He had been moving around too much.
遊び過ぎたのか、束の間の休憩。
But this morning, he was very playful.
He climbs the platform and looks at me
from above. It was fun to watch him get
stuck a couple of times.
でも、今朝はエネルギーが有り余っていたようで、
すぐに活発になりました。遊具に登って
上から見下ろしてみたり、高いところで
ひっかかって降りられなくなってみたり。
若いって素晴らしい。
He sat down for a while to take a breath.
Then it was time to give him his
favorite watermelons!
"HaHa, I got it again!!!!!"
Everytime I give him watermelons,
he seems to be so happy. He shows off
his watermelon to me so many times.
そして楽しみにしているスイカタイムです。
「わーい、またもらっちゃった！！！」
スイカをあげる度に、あーちゃんは
見せびらかしてくれます。
取られないと安心しているのでしょうか。
今度取り上げてみようかな？
He closed his eyes to enjoy
the taste of his watermelon.
目を閉じて美味しそうに食べています。
"Watermelons are so yummy!"
「スイカ大好き！美味しいよね！」
また目を閉じて味わっています。
小さな白い歯も見えます。
It's interesting to see that he knows
he can only eat the red part.
赤い部分だけしか食べられないことも
ちゃんとわかっているのがすごいです。
In the end, as usual he sticks his nose in his
bowl to see if he really doesn't have any more.
いつものように、本当にもうスイカが
ないのか確認中。
"Awww, I really don't have any more..."
「終わっちゃった・・・」
"Is there anything else I can eat?"
「他に食べられるものないかな？」
He can't eat bamboo yet, but he plays with it
for a while.
食べられもしないのに、笹を見つけて来て
遊んでみます。
He then starts to play with his best friend
YaYun. They are really having a wonderful
relationship.
大親友のヤーユンとあそびはじめました。
やはり仲良しみたいです。身体の大きさが
全然違うのに、力は対等のようです。
ErXi is also interested in the play equipments.
遊具に近づいて、何が出来るのか考え中。
He pulls it down and drags it.
ひっくり返してみたり引きずってみたり。
"This is too difficult for me! I don't know
how to play with this thing!"
「うーん、これ難しいね。どうやって遊んだら良いのか
わからないよ」
Today I took a picture with ErXi's
best friend, YaYun.
今日はあーちゃんの大親友
ヤーユンと記念撮影。
あーちゃんは活発すぎて
蹴飛ばされたので、諦めました。
All the cubs have their favorite spot.
いつもの光景。
皆好きなポジションがあるみたいです。
Tomorrow I will be at the Moonlight Nursery.
