Today it was over 35 degrees celsius in Chengdu,
and all the pandas were moved inside to prevent the
hot weather around 10am.
Here are some pictures I took at the Moonlight Nursery.
This is YongYong, having some rest on ice.
They don't have airconditioning in this area, and keepers
give ice to each pandas every day.
"Helllooooo! I'm the famous panda YongYong that was in
the Japanese panda film "Pandaful Life". I'm capable of
natural mating, don't you think I've grown up?"
"It's so hot today, and I love licking ice to keep cool."
I fed YongYong with apples.
He looks so happy with his favorite apple.
"I hope Japanese tourists can visit me more
although Moonlight nursery is far away from
the gate of Chengdu Panda Base! I'm sure
everyone will love me!"
YongYong started to take a nap in the afternoon.
"Woops, don't take pictures when I'm relaxing!"
This is ErYaTou, ErXi's mother.
She is also familiar in Japan because
she was in "Pandaful Life" too.
ErYaTou only weighed 63g when she was born
although normal pandas weigh around 120g-150g.
Now she has grown up and has lots of cubs.
"I hope you take good pictures of my
cute round face"
This is LinLin.
He is the father of ShinShin (真真Chinese name XianNu) in Tokyo Ueno Zoo.
LinLin is also licking ice.
This is QiYuan, on of the first twins born from MeiMei（梅梅）.
She has the resemblence of her mother with a cute round face.
This is the keeper LiuLei giving some trainings
for YaXing. He makes her stand up and
llie down so that they can examine her
when she is ready to be a mother.
YaXing is very clever, and understands what the
keeper wants her to do. She lies down slowly.
She will improve more in the near future.
This is WuYi.
At last I met him!
He was only 51g when he was born,
but now he has grown up healthy.
Pambassador David was taking
care of WuYi and YaZai last year
during the Project Panda.
WuYi is also one of MeiMei's grandchild.
WuYi grabs a bunch of bamboo and eats
in a very special way.
This is YaZai who lives in the same enclosure
with WuYi.
Many pandas are being moved to other enclosures this week,
and KeBi, one of the super father has already
moved to No.2 Enclosure, somewhere near from
MeiLan.
