This morning I went to the Sunshine Nursery to
take care of YaYa and the 2010 born cubs.
This is one of the cubs looking up
across the bars in the morning at around
8am. The cubs (and of course other pandas too)
are very active in the morning.
朝の仕事をはじめる前に撮影しました。
ドアの柵越しに可愛い顔をして
見上げている子パンダ。
朝は特に皆活発なようです。
園舟（ユェンジョウ）か園琳（ユェンリン）だと思います。
飼育員の方達も、時々間違えるくらい
見分けがつかないんです。
After cleaning all the enclosures, I went outside
to spend some time with the 2010 born cubs.
This is ErXi. He's quite heavy now, and weighs
24kg. And he's moving all the time, which makes it
hard for me to hold him for a long time.
He's adorable :-)
あーちゃんは24キロもあって、長いこと抱っこしていると
かなり重いです。抱えている間ずっと大暴れです。
いつものことなのですが。
ErXi is active today, and he is biting my keeper's boots.
私の長靴を一生懸命かじっています。
This is ErXi on the bottom and ZhengQiao
is climbing on ErXi to get on her bed.
ジェンチャオがあーちゃんを踏み台にして
上に登ろうとしています。
ErXi is angry about ZhengQiao's rude behavior,
and he bites her hand.
あーちゃんもだまっていません。
ジェンチャオの手をかじって仕返しをしています。
（でも、結構仲良しみたいです）
At around 9:30, it became hot, and the all the cubs
gather around the pond to cool down. They start to
fight over for the best position.
9時半頃に暑くなってきて、子パンダ達は
池の周りに全員集合しました。
ベストポジションを取るために、皆必死です。
ErXi wins the game, and gets the best position.
あーちゃんが勝ちました。
ErXi stays in the pond while others had to leave.
他の子パンダ達は諦めて別の場所を探しに
行きましたが、あーちゃんはしばらく池に浸かっていました。
It looks like he is bathing.
お風呂に入っているように見えますね。
"AHHH, I love this pond. I'm glad that I
won the game this morning!"
「今日は僕が勝ったよ！！
この池、良いよね！」
He starts to take a nap in the pond.
池に浸かったまま寝始めました。
"Oh but everyone is watching me with a smile on their face!"
「あ、でもみんなニコニコしながら僕を見ているね！」
"Am I so cute?"
「そんなに可愛いの？」
He comes close to my Sony α NEX-5.
I think he likes my camera.
私のSony α NEX-5のカメラに突進してきます。
私のカメラを、結構気に入ってくれている
みたいです。
Sometimes he does an expression
that looks like a grown up.
時々オジサンのような表情を浮かべています。
ErXi walks around for a while in the pond.
しばらく池の中で歩き回っていました。
Then he becomes active again.
力を取り戻したのか、また活発に
動き始めました。今度は木登りだ！
We called all the cubs to come inside
because it was too hot.
ErXi got his favorite watermelon.
あまりの暑さに、子パンダ達を
全員室内に呼び戻しました。
あーちゃんは大好きなスイカをもらって
ご機嫌です。
"HAHAHA, look what I've got!"
He's showing off his watermelon to me.
「見て見て、良いものもらったよ！」
スイカを見せびらかすあーちゃん。
This is YaYa.
The only time she can sleep is when the cubs are inside.
YaYa is a wonderful mother to all seven of the cubs.
She gave birth to YaYun, the smallest cub last year,
but she is also taking care of other cubs too.
She teaches the cubs how to climb trees and how to
eat bamboo. The cubs are already trying to copy what
YaYa does.
ヤーヤーは昨年ヤーユンを生みましたが、
現在7頭の子パンダ全員の面倒を見ています。
子パンダ達はヤーヤーの行動から木登りや
竹の食べ方など多くのことを学んでいるんです。
子パンダ達が室内に戻った時だけは
子育てから解放されるのですが、結構大変みたいです。
ぐったりしています。
Tomorrow I will go to the Moonlight Nursery
to take care of YongYong.
明日は月亮産房で勇勇の飼育をします。
